1 of Missouri's t-bone collisions injures 2 kids in school bus

It takes just a blink of an eye for a person's life to change. When parents put their children on the school bus in the morning, or teachers put the children on the bus in the afternoon, they don't expect for an accident to occur. Unfortunately, it occasionally happens. Two young children were injured following one of Missouri's recent T-bone collisions.

Apparently, the driver of a truck says he never saw the school bus. Unfortunately, this led to the truck striking the side of the school bus. Luckily, the driver of the school bus took quick action and kept the bus where it was, rather than trying to pull away. This ensured that the majority of the impact from the hit was at the front of the bus, rather than the middle where the kids were.

However, despite the fact that the driver of the bus recognized the threat quickly and was able to make a quick decision, two children were injured. The two children injured were a 7-year-old and a 9-year-old. The extent of the children's injuries was not clear and it was not mentioned whether they were taken to the hospital after being examined at the scene.

The driver of the truck did receive a citation for failing to stop at a stop sign. However, that may not be all that he has to deal with in the foreseeable future. It is possible that he may also face a civil liability lawsuit from the parents of the two children who were injured in yet another of Missouri's unfortunate T-bone collisions. They have the right to seek financial restitution for medical expenses, mental anguish as well as physical pain and suffering that resulted from the accident. An award will typically be made if negligence can be proven and specific items of financial damage established.
